Overview
Climb to the top of the Olakkannesvara Temple, also known as the Old Lighthouse, in Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu. This 8th century structural temple, constructed with grey-white granite and crowned with a shikar, offers stunning views of the town from its hilltop location. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the temple ceased worship in the 19th century.
