Massacre Ghat, also known as Nana Rao Ghat or Sati Chaura Ghat, is a captivating sightseeing spot located on the banks of the Ganges near Jajmau in Kanpur. It holds historical significance as the site where the terrifying ritual of Sati was performed by women. This picturesque Ghat covers the northern part of Kanpur and was a vital maritime route between Kanpur and Allahabad. The serene surroundings include the Satya Ashram Mandir, built in 1966, which was a popular bathing spot in ancient times. Visitors can also witness local wrestlers in action at the nearby sandpit, known as Akhada, and enjoy the annual wrestling competition held between July and August.
