Located about 16 km from Kannur, Parassinikkadavu is a town known for its Muthappan Temple and Parassinikkadavu Snake Park. The Muthappan temple is dedicated to Sree Muthappan and is the only Hindu temple in the state where a daily Theyyam performance takes place as per ritual. The nearby snake park is home to a diverse range of snakes, including the King Cobra and Pit Viper.
