About the experience

Why do we find nature so alluring? Despite having the best of technology and numerous places within the city to kick back and relax, nature has something that can’t be replaced. For those of us feeling burnt out or weary, walking through wooded trails with greenery around us and a wide blue sky unleashes a slow, warmth within us. It helps us focus on the simple pleasures in life like watching a delicate bird wing it's way past the creamy clouds or brushing the touch-me-not plant gently with our hands and watching as the frail leaves contract and expand.

Located 18 km away from the Belagavi city, the Chigarimala Nature Camp is known for the presence of regal deer. A peaceful haven surrounded by greenery, a wide variety of birds flit to the camp and is a wonderful place for birdwatchers to catch sight of Karnataka’s avian wildlife. Here you can spot flycatchers, flowerpeckers, sunbirds, leafbirds, cuckoos, peafowl, and more! You can also make your way to the nearby Rani Chennamma Zoo to see the animals up close and learn more about them. The cozy cottages that dot the property of the camp are constructed using locally available laterite rocks, giving you a cozy stay with a rustic ambiance that harmonizes perfectly with its natural surroundings. The in-house restaurant provides hot, freshly prepared food flavoured with the spices of the region. Don’t forget to try the local delicacy ‘Kunda’, a rich sweet prepared from milk and caramelized sugar.

Belagavi City is located 18 km away from the camp and has a rich culture and history. The historical temples around the city are known for their sculptures, intricate stone carvings, and art. For history lovers, walking through the city which was also once the well-known military wing of the Indian army in 1922 will delight them with the stories that are embedded in its very foundation. After a morning enjoying the misty sunrise at the camp, you can head to the famed Gokak Falls or take a look at the majestic river Ghataprabha.

Visit this lovely camp with a pleasant climate throughout the year and soothe yourself with the wonders of nature.

Please note: Prices are dynamic and subject to change. During booking, the team will inform you of the seasonal rates.
