In Kerala, nature finds its home, giving us dense, lush vegetation, rivers that wind past lazily with boats atop its glistening waters, and a soothing atmosphere of peace, where the loudest sound is the chirping of birds as they sing from tree to tree.  

This colonial riverhouse takes you on a journey into the past on the banks of the Periyar River in Neriamangalam, Kerala. A replica of a stately old colonial bungalow, the rooms are large and airy adorned with furniture that was handcrafted on the estate, following the traditions of yesteryear. Surrounded by rubber estates and thickets of the forest, the gardens of the house are a quiet oasis for its guests with an enchanting swimming pool overlooking the bubbling of the river. For those of us that love to stay fit during our holiday, the Yoga studio is a calming space where you can get flexible with the morning sun as it reflects onto the surface of the river.  

When you stay at this elegant river house, you feel as though you have lived there your whole life as you watch the river go by, stargaze in the green gardens or take long satisfying rambles on the paths around the property.
