All you want to know about the Experience

About the experience

Every now and then, you could use a simple day out away from the bright lights and bustling traffic of the concrete jungle. Skyscrapers are a marvel to look at, however, they don’t provide the same pleasures as having a horizon filled with towering rocky hills and dense woods. The simplistic beauty of nature is the result of thousands of years' worth of transformations, so it’s definitely worth taking a day off to admire this immeasurable beauty.

Get in touch with your roots here at this rustic organic farm, where life is nowhere near similar to the metropolitans. Spread across 30 acres, this getaway gives you the chance to take a peek into life in the quiet rural countryside. From the moment you set foot on this lush green farm, you’ll be enveloped in a cocoon of silence that’s only occasionally broken by the chirping of birds flying overhead. Here, you’ll get a glimpse into a life replete with ecologically conscious living – rainwater harvesting, organic farming, solar power, and biogas.

Spend the day watching the farmers go about their daily tasks of tending the fields as well as taking care of the livestock. You can interact with them and maybe learn a thing or two you weren’t aware of. Try your hand at pottery making, or take the little ones in the family for tractor and bullock carts. The farm is nestled away amongst the lush valleys and rocky hills of Ramanagara, so trek up a few of its trails for surreal views of the region. Make use of the vast open spaces and work up a sweat with some fun outdoor games like football and cricket. After all this, you can cool off with a refreshing dip in the calm azure water of the lavish outdoor pool.

During your day out, you can munch on some authentic local cuisines which are nutritious as well as mouthwatering. The farm provides most of the organic ingredients that go into making each dish as much as a delight to your palette as the last. As the day comes to an end and you hit the road again, you’ll have a smile on your face from having spent your free time making some cherished memories.

What customers are saying:

A wonderful place. Been there for a day out with friends. A great place to be. The slushy pool was best. The food is made of organic vegetables, the tractor ride, swimming pool, indoor games, and outdoor games. There is enough to keep the team engaged and have fun the entire day

Best place to visit for a weekend trip. Lots of games, trekking, and a swimming pool. Best recommended for a group of friends or a family for a one-day holiday. The theme of the resort is completely village type and there is greenery everywhere. I bet will you will have a great time at the resort.

Great place, we spent a complete day and a half there. It was truly a superb experience you would never want to miss.
The village-style cottages were cozy and very comfortable. The support staff was incredibly polite and helpful.
Mud volleyball and other traditional games were refreshing and the pool was well maintained. The food was delicious and nutritious. We had many fun activities such as a tractor ride in the evening, early morning treks, etc. Overall, a wonderful experience to be part of. Beautiful serene everywhere. 5/5👌

I went with my family and we had the best experience at Baevu. We enjoyed thoroughly. Best part about this place is that, you can leave the city life behind and enjoy the nature and experience the village life. Great place for a small weekend getaway. Loved it!! Also the food was just amazing. The pictures don't do justice to this place. It has to be visited , experienced and enjoyed.

Hi friends! We stayed in Baevu the village resort, near kanakapura, for two days on 20th and 21st of february. It is one of the best resorts near Kanakapura to spend few days. The rooms are very spacious and the ambience is like a village home with mud constructions and mud roads! the wooden doors, the switches, the light and it's brackets, drinking water in earthern pots, the bathroom set up with brass taps and containers, tooth powder! Neem sticks for brushing teeth! Herbal powders for bathing, the jhoola tooo good! There is a sky light too! We can play few indoor games too in the room! the walls the floor, window patterns are absolutely like village houses! We can spend few days very cooly, as there is no TV, no phones, no wifi also and no mobile data works. No disturbance from the outsides world! No vehicles. They have several activities such as, swimming pool, veg garden, forest trecking etc., Apart from that they have chowkabara, algunimane, Uno cards, playing card etc etc. The food that is given is extraordinarily tasty! They provide variety of food for breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner. For all one needs to go to bhojanashala to enjoy it. No room service. The hospitality shown by all the members to the guests, is simply fantastic and memorable! like holy water absolutely unblamish! To name few people, managers sri Senthil and Santhosh. They are really fantastic and cool in their behaviour and conduct and they are very friendly to all guests. The service team consisting of Girish, Sharath,Bharat and Rahul, provided and served timely food to us, in a very soft approach manner and our special thanks to them. They serve all guests smilingly and very cool approach, without hurting any guests. They talk in a very pleasant tone, Guests need to encourage all of the boys who are young and energetic. The Chef team consists of Durga, Dev and Pramod. Oh my God ,they prepare very hygienic and tasty food. We had only veg food,as we are pure vegetarians. They change the menu daily, They use only organic vegetables, which are grown in their garden only. The food is really awesome and really yummy food. We need to encourage them. The only issue that guests will face is the mud road, approaching the resort, which is about two kms,as the resort is inside the deep forest. It would be nice,if the management were to metal the road, for the convenience of guests. Apart from that the management should provide more Baevu sign boards, at all corners at a distance of 100 feet each, as it will be difficult and confusing to approach the resort, both at the entry and the exit roads. It would also be very convenient for the guests, if coffee and tea kettles are provided, with milk ,coffee and tea powder, in each of the rooms, as the guests could have coffee or tea at their leisure time, as and when they need it. It is also recommended to provide one internal phone,to talk to the reception people,in case of emergency,as it is too risky and not safe to go outside the room during dark hours, as the resort is in the centre of thick forest. The management may consider my suggestions ,for the comfort, safety and pleasure of the guests. I will recommend all my friends to stay in this Baevu resort, spend few days comfortably and happily, without any problem. Bengaluru

Getting There: The day before your check-in, one of the resort staff members will call to let you know the 2 approach roads to the resort and their respective conditions prevailing. Following the google maps direction will take you to the exit gate of the property which has 1-1.2kms of bad roads. If you follow the directions to the entry gate, it is a 2.5km stretch of mud road which is better than the stretch to exit gate but it is still untarred road. The Property: Set in 30 acre piece of land next to the Bananthimari Reserve forest and surrounded by couple of hills (Karadi Betta as one of the hills is called by locals), the resort is majority open land for farming and for nature to thrive in its purest form. Minimalistic, yesteryear village style cottages (couple and standard cottages, also called Thotti Mane) constructed in a manner to keep the inside always cool. The standard cottages have a central courtyard and a small sitout behind the cottage which has a swing in addition to chairs, which is something we would love to try during our next visit. Staff: People working here across departments are very courteous, polite and always ready to help. Special thanks to Mr.Ambarish (for taking us around the property and to the sunset point in the tractor), Mr. Bharath and Mr. Sharath (for providing efficient service during our meals), Mr. Shashikumar (for taking us to the organic farms and on an informative walking tour around the property), Mr. Basant (for guiding us to our room at check-in and helping with our luggage) and last but not the least Mr. Santhosh and Mr. Senthil, the property managers for answering our questions patiently and ensuring our stay at the resort was a memorable one! Food: Predominantly vegetarian food served across meals with 2-3 non-veg items, served in a separate dining hall, on one of the days. All meals are self-service and guests are responsible for disposing the food waste, plates, cutlery and other utensils in the appropriate bins kept near the hand wash. 80% of the ingredients used across meals are sourced from the farms in the property and the cooking is more or less homely. Activities: Apart from indoor games (TT, Carrom, Snakes & Ladders, Ludo, Chess) and outdoor games (Basketball, Badminton, Frezbee, Cricket, Volleyball, Mud Volleyball, Football), one can enjoy traditional games like laggori, hop scotch etc). Swings and slides are also present which can be used by adults as well. Every Saturday, a local potter is at the property for few hours (depending on number of guests) who can help you make basic items like glass, bowl, vase for 100Rs each. Trekking at sunrise is available and a walking tour of the organic farms, feeding the cows is available on request. Overall, a memorable stay for us at reasonable prices. We will definitely visit again!
