“BHEEMESHWARI”, RELAXED AREA OF SCENIC SPLENDOUR AND MAGNIFICENT HABITATS ! Set amid this fabulously diverse landscape is a wealth of natural treasures. Cauvery river is indeed bountiful and one of the most fertile regions in India with astounding variety of wildlife. Cauvery river’s total length from source to mouth is above 800 kilo meters. ARRIVAL We moved from Galibore camp to Bheemeshwari camp quite fast, under an hour along the River ! ACTIVITIES Started with a gorgeous lunch. This JLR lodge offered a wealth of outdoors adventure pursuits, all organized by a geographically spread network of enthusiastic providers & instructors. How about Zip line, Burma loops, parallel/cat/elephant foot walk etc.. and other high rope activities, but we did not bother with any. But we opted for Coracle ride but not for Pool Kayaking. Coracle ride was great & we went around a giant circle shore-to shore. Bheemeshwari landscape is home to an array of wildlife that you can find in all nooks, crannies and corners. We sighted some birds such as Woodpecker, River terns, Kingfishers and some water birds. River was thick & green with monsoon so we hardly spotted any Mahseer fish. What is missing is a boat trip, or a wildlife safari in a 4x4 or even a nocturnal tour using hi-tech thermal & night vision equipment ! This was followed by Tea-time snacks, and later by a barbeque spread and some drinks. Being close set to dinner time, we just relaxed an did not eat/drink much. Dinner was sumptuous and well compiled. DEPARTURE Early morning hike to a small hillock vista with a view point. This one is also drivable so no big deal. Back to camp and ended the trip with another supreme breakfast. Cauvery river is sacred for many. Multiple dams & tributaries all across south India to supply drinking water, and for farming. Many activities can planned from Bangalore along the river edge within 2-6 hour’s drive ! Celebrate the wonders of the natural world !

What clothing should I bring with me to the camp?
Here are some tips on what clothing to wear when visiting the camp:
What adventure activities are available at the camp?
Adventure activities such as Zip-line, Burma Loops, Parallel Walk, Cat Walk, Elephant Walk, Rappelling, Pool Kayaking, Nature Walk, and a Coracle Ride are available at the camp.
Is it okay if I carry plastic items to the camp?
We try to avoid plastic items as much as possible at the camp. If you do bring any plastic items, ensure you don’t litter and carry the plastic back with you.
Is there an in-house restaurant at the camp?

Is the Bheemeshwari Adventure and Nature Camp pet-friendly?
No, the Bheemeshwari Adventure and Nature Camp is not pet-friendly as it is in the middle of a forest.
What is the best season to visit the Bheemeshwari Adventure and Nature Camp?
Bheemeshwari Camp can be visited across the year. The best time to visit is just after the monsoons, between August and February, when the river is alive and the forest is thick and verdant. This is the best time for birdwatching as well – river terns, fishing eagles, wood peckers, kingfishers and other water birds flock here. During the other months, the water recedes and reveals wide sand banks, which are great for idling away the evening. The summer months (March – June) can be very warm, especially in the afternoon.
