About the experience
The Dubare Elephant Camp in Karnataka is a unique destination that offers visitors the opportunity to connect with these gentle giants in a personal and meaningful way. The camp offers a variety of activities designed to educate visitors about elephant history, ecology, and biology. Guests can roll up their sleeves and pitch in during an elephant grooming session, where they will have the opportunity to watch elephants being given a scrub-bath in the river, with rituals like oil being applied to their forehead, tusks, and other aspects of elephant grooming. This unique experience will change the guests' idea of pet maintenance.
After the bath is done, visitors can learn how elephant food is prepared and how they're fed. Mahouts will also demonstrate how elephants obey commands and how they functioned during their earlier role in logging operations. The surrounding forests are home to an array of exciting wildlife, including gaur, leopard, wild dog, sloth bear, peacock, partridges, and more. The camp serves both non-vegetarian and vegetarian fare and upon request, they can arrange for some local cuisine to be part of the spread. - All request for cancellation of confirmed bookings have to be received through email or in writing if booked at our office in Bangalore.
- 10% of the tariff, if cancelled two or more than two weeks before check in date/time.
- 50% of the tariff, if cancelled between 48hours to two weeks before check in date/time.
- No refund if cancelled less than 48hours before check in date/time.
- One postponement / Preponement is free if requested two or more than two weeks before check in date/time (Once postponed /preponed there is no further change or cancellation).
- 10% of the tariff, if requested between 48hours to two weeks before check in date/time.
- 50% of the tariff, if requested within 24hours to 48 hours before check in date/time.
- No modification, if requested within 24 hours to check in.

How I wish I could stay here longer ! The place is serene and beautiful! We enjoyed every minute of our stay . Jeep safari was good . We could spot few wild elephants, spotted deer , giant Malabar squirrel, wild buffaloes etc .
Visited the jungle lodge with kids. Place is very good on the bank of Kaveri river in forest, its one of a kind place. Its very well maintained, food is very delicious. cottages n surrounding is clean.
Very good location with private boat pickup and drop for Junglelodges guests. They even have private place for elephant interaction to bath and feed elephants. Friendly staff with good hospitality.
I took day activities package at JLR Dubare Elephant Camp. My 6 year old thoroughly enjoyed spending time with elephants bathing them, feeding them. The naturist who accompanied us was very knowledgeable.
The saffari in the jeep through the forest is amazing and provide opportunity to witness the presence of wild elephant, bisson, peacocks and various birds.

As per the provisions of the camp, the visitors are strictly prohibited from bringing their pets along with them.
What are the essentails to be carried for a day visit here?
Comfortable dress, hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, walking shoes, torch, and other essentials as per the guests' convenience can be brought for a day visit here.
Is smoking or any other intoxicating elements allowed in the camp?
The camp does not allow visitors to bring along any intoxicating materials. Also, the guests are encouraged not to smoke in the camp keeping in mind the safety of the forests and animals.
