All you want to know about the Experience
A trekking paradise, Coorg unveils itself best to explorers that traverse across these trails on foot. If you love conquering majestic rock formations, there’s nothing quite like walking along the ridges of the mountains as you take in the green blankets cradled by valleys below and plantations filled with fragrant spices and coffee berries.
Plunge into the rainforest and follow a narrow trail through dense undergrowth. Light flitters down from a thick forest cover making for a delightful walk along the trail. Take your time spotting the flora and fauna that inhibit the forests as well as sighting the colourful birds that perch delicately on the branches.
As the trek continues, you’ll stand atop a sheer drop that falls several thousand feet deep; the view here is beautiful and leaves you awestruck. Hike your way past several ‘kadangas’, trenches that were once used in ancient times of warfare and defense.
The trail winds across the ridges of these mountains, giving you an unbroken view of Coorg’s emerald landscape. You walk on until you spot the coffee plantations of Coorg and its rural settlements filled with local houses.
Pull on your trekking boots and walk across the majestic mountains that stretch along the skyline of Coorg!

We’d recommend packing as light as possible as the trek will be long and uphill. You can carry your own water bottle, sunscreen, travel toiletries, energy fueling snacks and your lunch.
Will lunch be provided?
No, meals are not provided for this trek. It’s best to carry your own lunch and try to keep your meal light. We’d recommend sandwiches, lemon rice or even a tasty poha to reduce the number of containers and prevent you from feeling sluggish for the walk downhill.
Will toilets be available during the trek?
No, you’ll be in the midst of nature, so toilets will not be accessible. You can use the toilet at the starting point but elsewhere you’ll have to adjust to the surroundings.
