About the experience

Goa is synonymous with the Portuguese. After four centuries as a Portuguese colony, the coastal state has a strong influence of culture, tradition and architecture originating from their colonial rulers. As you travel around Goa, you spot beautiful houses, each totally unique from the other, bearing remnants of the Portuguese embedded in their very foundations. The brick and mortar of these houses have seen centuries of stories, of lives being lived from start to finish within their enchanting four walls.

Travel to the city of Chandrapur which also happens to be the oldest known capital of Goa. In your minds-eye, you’re still able to see the days gone by, of armies, fortifications, battles and flourishing trade. From the Bhojas to the Silaharas, Chandor was a thriving settlement due in major part to the connectivity of the river Kushavati to travellers. This quaint village is also famous for the legend of the Queen’s Curse. The curse was brought upon the village as a result of the treachery of the warriors of Goa.  Walk through Chandor, meet the descendants of families that have lived there for centuries and take a look at Goa’s rich and beautiful past.
