About the experience

Tea is a beloved beverage globally. Served with hot water and lemon, cold with sweating ice-cubes or with milk, sugar and a little ginger, tea is the type of drink that is a quintessential part of our daily routines. Combine your love for tea and cycling with this lovely route through green and lush tea estates, chunks of coffee plantations and verdant forest paths.

Start off from an old colonial bungalow and make your way through trails that curve through greenery and mud paths that will make your ride more exciting than traditional tarmac roads.  Along the way, bring your love of ornithology to the forefront with a session of bird watching! Vividly coloured indigenous birds flock to the grounds of the tea estates and this makes for a delightful viewing experience.

Your route also takes you along green tracts of coffee plantations and jungle paths lined with vines and towering trees. Your guide will also help you learn about the cultivation of tea and coffee as you cycle.

Yes, cycles and helmets will be provided for this activity.

Will meals be provided on the cycle trip?

No, meals will not be provided, however snacks and water will be provided. If you’d like a more substantial meal, please feel free to carry a box with lunch. We recommend light meals such as sandwiches, lemon rice or even a tasty poha as you will be cycling post lunch and should not feel sluggish.

As you will be cycling, it’s best to carry an extremely lightweight backpack or even a comfortable sling bag. Water and snacks will be provided during the tour, so you can carry hand sanitizer, sunscreen, necessary toiletries, an extra mask and extra snacks in case you require it.

What clothes should I wear for the cycling trip?

We recommend wearing cotton or DriFit clothing that will allow for ease of movement and will not collect sweat. Sneakers are a good option for footwear.
