About Seethanadi Nature Camp

The Western Ghats of Karnataka are a vibrant biodiversity hotspot, rich with diverse flora and fauna that showcase the state’s natural beauty. Established in 1974, the Someshwara Wildlife Sanctuary is a protected area through which a perennial river gently flows.

This sanctuary forms a continuous stretch with the Mookambika, Sharavathi Wildlife Sanctuaries, and Kudremukh National Park. Here, you can encounter Bengal tigers, Indian leopards, Ussuri dhole, elephants, jackals, spotted deer, lion-tailed macaques, and a variety of birds including the Great Indian hornbill and Malabar grey hornbill. The river attracts water birds and is home to otters and the famous mahseer fish.

Located in Hebri, the Seethanadi Nature Camp lies within this serene sanctuary, surrounded by lush greenery. It offers a peaceful retreat to connect with nature, spot wildlife, and explore the forest trails where you can track and observe animals in their natural habitat.

Had a fantastic family time at Seethanadi Nature camp, it was made very very memorable by the wonderful team at the camp excelling in hospitality.
The trek of 3 kms next day morning led by Prasanna who has good knowledge about the flora and fauna in that area, was very refreshing and was not difficult even for seniors in the group.
Very very friendly staff, sumptuous food, amazing location amidst forest and nature, well maintained cottages to name a few things. Strongly recommended for those who feel and like being a part of nature.
Staying at Seethanadi Nature Camp was a wonderful experience! The setting is marvellous, just next to a peaceful river. The staff was exquisite, helpful and courteous. The cottage was extremely clean and comfortable, all the activities were really entertaining.
The wooden chalet was very good with spacious bathroom, there is lot of peace and personal space there and you are surrounded with peace and serenity. The flowing river has lots and lots of fishes to welcome you, you just need to feed them.
