About the experience
Located in Wayanad, Kerala, the Edakkal Caves are two majestic natural caves with a rich history. Inside the caves, pictorial writings and carvings dating to around 6,000 BCE, from the Neolithic man infer that there was once a prehistoric settlement in the area. These lovely Stone Age carvings are the only known examples of a settlement in the region from South India.
This beautiful resort brings attention to the little-known Edakkal Caves and the other natural beauties of Wayanad. The unique rooms of the resort are constructed around the rocks as this is boulder country. To mimic the landscape, the theme of the Stone Age is etched throughout the resort, giving you the feeling of traveling back to the past.
