About the experience
The Mahadeva Tambdi Surla Temple is a beautiful Shaivite temple built in the Kadamba style dedicated to the Hindu god Lord Shiva. Constructed out of basalt, it was created in the 12th-century and is surrounded by the Western Ghats, deep in the lush, green forest.
The temple features intricate carvings delicately embedded by expert craftsmen, a garbhagriha, antarala and a spectacular pillared Nandi mandapa. The four pillars that have stood the test of time, are adorned with carvings of elephants and lotus flowers.
In the midst of an emerald valley, this temple is a treat for history lovers of all ages. Visit this temple and dip into the rich religious history and culture of Goa.
