About the experience

Tired of spending your weekends surrounded by towering buildings and a sea of traffic? Escape it all with a quick trip to Munnar, an elegant hillside town tucked away amongst the beauty of the Western Ghats. Located in the southern state of Kerala, Munnar once served as a summertime retreat for the British elite. Now, these hills welcome all who seek a quiet getaway from the mundane routines of city life.

Explore the best of Munnar with this exciting trek through the valleys, plantations and peaks. The trek starts at an elevation of about 1430m and the highest altitude you’ll be climbing up to is about 1800m. From the top, you'll have stunning views of Idukki Dam, one of the highest arch dams in Asia, as well as the Anamudi Peak, the highest peak in the Western Ghats. With all this, and plenty more to be seen, you definitely don’t want to miss out on this experience of a lifetime!

What customers are saying:

We had a wonderful day hike. Saneesh was a friendly guide who was extremely knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna. He took us on a hike through tea plantations, through a forested region, and to the top ridge of a mountain for amazing views of the entire Munnar region. He was patient and kind, and we had great conversations about the local history of the region. Manoj (the manager who helped us arrange the tour) was very courteous and professional and helped us figure out what tour option worked for us. He also offered assistance in helping arrange transportation for us. If possible, I would contact the group beforehand to ensure that your hotel pick-up location is close enough for them to pick you up (if you are staying in Munnar Town, it seems like it should be no problem for them). Overall, a great experience. I would definitely recommend them for booking activities in Munnar, whether trekking, jeep rides, tea factory visits, and more.
