Overview

Welcome to the temple town of Vaishno Devi, home to the famous Vaishno Devi Mandir. Situated in the picturesque Trikuta hills, just 13 kilometers from Katra in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, this renowned shrine attracts millions of devotees from around the world. Fondly known as Mata Rani, Vaishnavi, and Trikuta, Vaishno Devi is a manifestation of the Hindu Goddess Durga. During the pooja and aarti, it is believed that the goddesses arrive at the Holy cave to pay their respects to Mata Rani. Devotees believe that Mata Rani herself calls them to this sacred place. The darshan of Maa Vaishno Devi in the holy cave is in the form of three naturally formed rocks known as pindies, which manifest the three forms of the goddess as Maha Kali, Maha Saraswati, and Maha Lakshmi. Over one crore devotees visit the Vaishno Devi temple each year, seeking blessings and fulfillment of their wishes.
