Things to do in Munnar

Munnar is known for its unique wildlife and flourishing flora. The most popular sanctuary in Munnar is the Eravikulam National Park which is a UNESCO world heritage site. It provides habitat to a diverse range of species including the elephant, Nilgiri langur, Nilgiri marten, Atlas moth (largest in the world), lion-tailed macaque, small-clawed otter and elusive big cats such as tigers and leopards. An endangered species of mountain goat called the Nilgiri Thar can also be seen here. Another popular attraction is the bloom of Neelakurinji Flowers that occurs every 12 years.
